  • The Youth Development Team practices two days a week from January 10th to March 7th.

  • This program is for younger skiers (4th to 6th grade) who want to learn to classic and skate ski and are ready to move beyond the Bill Koch programs.

  • It is also for older skiers (6th to 8th grade) who have never nordic skied before and are interested in learning how to both classic and skate ski. 

  • Skiers should skate skis, poles, and boots and waxable (not fish scales) classic skis, poles and boots. These may be rented from Cloud City Mountain Sports for $100 for the season.  

  • Skiers will have the option to participate in a few local races, such as the Leadville Loppet

  • Cost: $100 to Cloud City Mountain Sports

  • To sign your child up, go the application page and follow the directions. The application is open from October 1st to October 31st for the 2024-2025 Winter.
